The site lies within 25 acres of landscaped grounds that will also include an ecological wetland reserve, in addition to offering premium health facilities to the local community.

Club Manager, Jack Phillips, said: “The core philosophy of David Lloyd is about making our clubs a comfortable and welcoming place for members to come together with friends, family and fellow members.

“At David Lloyd clubs, we’re much more than just a gym – we want members to maintain optimum physical and mental health and we can’t wait to meet our new Bicester members.”

The new club offers a variety of health and wellness facilities for gym-goers, including a ‘Battlebox’ outdoor fitness area, garden spa, a range of exercise classes, and a spa with a sauna, steam room, ice experience room and deep relax space.

Additionally, the club offers courts for tennis and other racquet sports.

Mr Phillips added: “We believe we can provide the perfect place for ‘we time’ – precious, quality time spent together with friends and family in a positive, active environment.

Whether that’s quiet time in the spa, meeting friends at a group class or grabbing a bite to eat in the clubroom.”
