A luxury care home in Oxfordshire held a grand opening event to mark the beginning of a new era after a year-long refurbishment.

Following significant investment, Glebefields, a luxury care home in Banbury run by Barchester Healthcare, underwent a 12-month refurbishment project that culminated in a VIP reopening event on Saturday, May 14.

The event began with a ribbon cutting ceremony performed by the Mayor of Banbury, Councillor Shaida Hussain.

Guests were then invited to see the home’s stylish new interior and take a tour of the premises.

The Glebefield’s catering team provided complimentary refreshments and a selection of snacks, which guests enjoyed whilst experiencing a live performance of classical music from the King and Rackham Duo.

The home is a former rectory, overlooking miles of countryside in an area recognised for its outstanding natural beauty, including a nearby Norman Parish Church.

Councillor Hussain said: “It’s wonderful that Barchester is investing with such confidence in the future of care in the county.”

Nisha Shaji, Glebefields General Manager, said: “The home is looking better than ever after the recent investment, and it was a pleasure to showcase the elegant new interior at the grand opening event.

“My door is always open and anyone who couldn’t make it to the open day is very welcome to drop by for a cup of tea any other day instead.”
