A MAN was arrested on suspicion of dealing class-A drugs after a high-speed car chase.
The arrest in Banbury town centre took place during a police patrol early on Sunday morning.
The driver of the vehicle failed to pull over and sped off at high speed along Oxford Road.
The officers pursued the vehicle to the town's Timms Estate.
The 23-year-old driver was taken into custody for failing to stop, dangerous driving, possession of class-A drugs and the supply of drugs. His vehicle was seized.
Police praised "the amazing teamwork and back up" from colleagues.
This follows the arrest in February of three people in Banbury, who were taken into Police custody on suspicion of drugs supply. Police found suspected Class A drugs, cash and drug paraphernalia in their property.
