Here is a selection of animals from the RSPCA branches in Essex and the affiliated Danaher Animal House who are looking for a forever home.

There are some animals from the Essex South, Southend & District branch and the Danaher Animal Home.

If you think you would be able to rehome one of them go to either the Essex South, Southend & District branch or the Danaher Animal Home website for details.

You can also donate to the charities to help it carry on its rescue work at the same websites.

Dave

Echo: Dave (RSPCA)Dave (RSPCA)

Gender – Male

Age – Seven years old

Breed – Domestic shorthair crossbreed

Colour – White and Tabby

Dave is a cat who came into the care of the RSPCA around six months ago and has had to deal with a number of conditions.

He has had biopsies taken from his mouth and also he had both eyes operated on for entropion (a condition in which the eyelid turns inward so that the eyelashes and skin rub against the eye surface causing infection and pain).

He is now on his way to recovery, but has episodes of the Calici virus, which is a mild to severe respiratory infection that will need to be treated with steroids if/when they occur.

Dave is looking for an indoor only home where it is fairly quiet and predictable, with no children or other cats. He is happy to nap the day or night away if you work but equally happy if you are home all day too.

Lemon

Echo: Lemon (RSPCA)Lemon (RSPCA)

Gender - Male

Age - Seven years old

Breed - Domestic shorthair crossbreed

Colour - Grey and White

Lemon came into the care of the RSPCA in November and wasn't in the best of health at first.

Since then he has made a remarkable recovery, although he has Feline immunodeficiency virus and a heart murmur.

He is looking for an indoor home with no other pets, and could live with children of secondary school age.

He is very affectionate and will make a great companion, plus he's fond of napping.

Moon

Echo: Moon (Danaher Animal Home)Moon (Danaher Animal Home)

Gender - Male

Age - Five years old

Breed - Lurcher

Colour - White

Moon is a laid back and relaxed character who tends to take things in his stride.

He is quiet on his walks and enjoys engaging with his environment whilst trotting along next to his handler.

In a home he would prefer to be the only dog and not to have any cats already living there.

Due to his placid nature, we feel he could live with children that are used to quieter dogs and have experience in being around dogs.

Bonnie

Echo: Bonnie (Danaher Animal Home)Bonnie (Danaher Animal Home)

Gender - Female

Age - Adult (not specified exactly)

Breed - Lionhead

Colour - Black

Bonnie arrived into the care of Danaher Animal Home after her previous owner could no longer provide her with the care and attention.
