Sponsored by Bicester Village, an array of lights was installed in the Launton Road Park, while Bicester Town Council’s headquarters Garth House was adorned with festive images and messages to share some Christmas spirit.

People can walk through the trail as festive tunes play in the background and the house will be lit up with festive messages and dancing snowflakes, with the grounds alive with colour.

Thousands of people are expected to walk the Christmas lights trail over the six-day display, which is family friendly and accessible for buggies and wheelchairs.

Bicester’s mayor Councillor Nicholas Mawer said: “Garth House and Park looked stunning. I’m sure this event will be a highlight for many residents, and I think that kids will love it.

“This is the first time Bicester Town Council has staged this type of event and it has been very popular with around 3,000 tickets sold to date.

“As a council we would like to thank Bicester Village who sponsored this event which enabled us to keep the ticket prices low.”

Tickets cost £5 for adults, £2.50 for children aged six to 16, with under-fives free.

Tickets must be purchased online as they will not be available to buy at the gate, which will be open from 4pm to 10pm daily.
