The lucky youngster will be paid £150 to design a ‘house of the future’.

From slides instead of stairs, secret hideaways perfect for hide and seek, a chocolate fountain in the kitchen or even a giant-sized ball pit – the house builder is looking to kids across Oxfordshire for inspiration.

Four to nine-year olds from across the region can apply for the role by submitting a ‘house of the future’ design.

As well as a prize of £150, the winning Archi-tot’s school will also receive £100 in artwork vouchers – and the winner could see their design incorporated into the housebuilder’s popular Heritage Collection.

An additional five lucky runner ups will each receive an art pack full of equipment for their future house designs.

Imaginative youngsters across the region have until midnight on Monday 31 January to submit their entries and be in with a chance of being named Redrow South Midlands’ Archi-tot of the future.

Suzanne Irons, Sales Director for Redrow South Midlands, said: “Here at Redrow, we’re committed to bringing young people into construction, and are recognised by the industry for our training excellence and apprenticeship programme.

“What better way to celebrate the creative talent of local youngsters and showcase the wonderful imagination and creative abilities of the next generation? Who knows, we could even put in a good word for the winner to become one of our new apprentices in a few years’ time!”

Redrow was established in 1974 by Steve Morgan CBE with a £5,000 loan from his father and today it is one of the most successful and acclaimed home-builders in the country.

The house builder currently has new houses for sale at their recent development Bloxham Vale close to Banbury.

The development is surrounded by open fields and charming rural villages and benefits from direct trains to London in less than an hour.

Redrow said the development is a good location for families, with a number of schools and GP surgeries close-by, as well as shopping and amenities in nearby Banbury.
