Youngsters are being invited to dress-up as their favourite superhero to be in with a chance of winning a prize.

Among the activities on the day will be drumming workshops, Landzorbs, inflatable football darts, jugglers, stilt walkers, and superhero workshops.

Refreshments will be available from Garth Park café Savoir Fare, and people are invited to bring a picnic.

The event has taken inspiration from the Marvel films and is sponsored by Bicester Village.

Mayor Councillor Nicholas Mawer said: “We are absolutely delighted to be hosting Superhero Day once again and would urge families to pack a picnic and come and enjoy some fun.

“We can’t wait to see Garth Park filled with children and young people enjoying themselves on the free activities.

“We have completed a risk assessment ahead of the event and hope people will feel reassured.

“Although Covid-19 restrictions have now been removed, we will provide hand sanitiser stations in the park, and it is recommended people should continue to wear masks and socially distance in indoor situations.”

The event starts at 11am.
