A VEGAN curry delivery business is the new sponsor of a local fat-fighting football team.

Bicester-based V-Giyan is sponsoring the Oxfordshire Man v Fat team in Launton.

Man v Fat was set up to help motivate and support men looking to improve their fitness and engage in a weight-loss plan combined with a common love for football.

There are teams set up all across the UK, including Oxfordshire.

V-Giyan, which specialises in natural and vegan foods, is happy to be sponsoring the team in Launton.

Bal Gill from V-Giyan said: "We felt it was an important milestone for us as we have always been focused on introducing more balanced and natural foods to the predominantly meat eating male market.

"This is a strong team of motivated men looking to recapture health and better themselves through sport, improved fitness and nutrition.

"On match day one, team V-Giyan were here disrupting stereotypes of vegan food and introducing the many flavours of our vegan Punjabi food."
