The area is home to celebrities like Jeremy Clarkson who chose to set up his Diddly Squat farm on the edge of Chipping Norton.

His neighbours include former prime minister David Cameron and Posh and Becks who recently bought a plush grand barn conversion in Great Tew.

West Oxfordshire is also home to some of the county's biggest attractions like Blenheim Palace, Soho Farmhouse and The Cotswold Wildlife Park.

In joint second place was the Vale of White Horse and South Oxfordshire areas getting 21% of the votes each.

Didcot had been called out last week as one of the worst towns to live in England after a recent poll.

The online contributors were far from kind about the area, leaving scathing reviews about the town.

But former MP, now Lord, Ed Vaizey was quick to defend the area reeling off a list of the 'really great things' that make Didcot 'fantastic'.

People in Oxford were not happy with the city they live in, leaving Oxford will only 16% of reader votes.

But the loser and official worst place to live in Oxfordshire according to our readers was Cherwell - the home of Bicester and Banbury

Both areas boast luxury shopping parks like designer outlet Bicester Villlage and the Queen's very own Banbury Gateway Shopping Park.
