FIREFIGHTERS raced to a huge fire at an Oxfordshire farm yesterday.

Bicester and Banbury crews were first at the scene of a 'well-developed' fire in Middleton Stoney in the afternoon.

Bicester Advertiser:

The fire started on the ground floor but was spreading to the first floor and ceiling when they arrived.

The teams, wearing specialist breathing equipment, used a thermal image camera to extinguish the fire with hosereels.

Bicester Advertiser:

Writing on Facebook Oxfordshire Fire and Resuce Service shared pictures of the building, which has been left completely gutted from the fire.

Bicester Advertiser:

They wrote: "After an investigation the cause of the fire was deemed to be accidental.

"Please remember to test your smoke alarms once a week to make sure they’re working- the earlier a fire is detected the better chance we have of minimising the damage it can do."
