A HOUSE builder in Oxford has created a new role and the only criteria is that you need to be between the age of four and nine.

Redrow Thames Valley housebuilders are looking to recruit an 'archi-tot'.

The company has created a competition for children of Oxford to design a 'house of the future'.

The company said: 'From slides instead of stairs, baller barres, a chocolate fountain in the kitchen or even a ball pit - Redrow Thames Valley is looking for Oxford kids to provide inspiration for developing homes."

The child who wins be paid a 'three-figure salary' to design their 'house of the future'.

The winner of the competition will receive £150 worth of art vouchers and £100 worth of art vouchers for their school.

Children from across the county can apply for the role by visiting redrow.co.uk/promo/archi-tots-the-steeples and submitting a ‘house of the future’ design.

Imaginative youngsters across the region have until Friday 19 February to submit their entries and be in with a chance of being named Archi-tot for Redrow Thames Valley.

“What better way to celebrate the creative talent of local youngsters?

"Who knows, we could even put in a good word for the winner to become one of our new apprentices in a few years’ time.”
