THE 17 areas of Oxfordshire with the lowest rates of Covid infection can be seen in a map of the county.

The interactive data, which is part of the Governement's Covid data dashboard, shows where positive cases are rising and falling in the seven days to January 3.

Going from white through to dark purple, the Public Health England map shows areas with the highest weekly infection rates per 100,000 people.

Despite being the centre of outbreaks previously, some of the lowest Covid infection rates in the county are in Oxford

This includes Oxford Central, which currently has the lowest rate in Oxfordshire at 137.4.

These are the 17 areas shown in blue due to having rates below 400 cases per 100,000 people.
