PRIMARY school pupils are self-isolating after a positive coronavirus test.
In a message to Year 5 parents at Barley Hill school yesterday, which has been seen by this paper, Louise Bozon wrote: “We have been made aware that a member of our school community has tested positive for Covid-19.

“We know you many find this concerning, but we are working closely with Public Health England. This letter is to inform you of the current situation and provide evidence on how to support your child.
“Please be reassured that for more people, coronavirus (Covid-19) will be a mild illness.
“The children who have been in close contact with the individual who has tested positive for coronavirus have received a letter informing them that their child must stay at home for 14 days.

“Barley Hill Primary School will open [today] and your child should continue to attend as normal if they remain well.”
According to one parent, the school has been closed for several weeks after positive coronavirus tests.
The school were contacted for a comment about the reopening.
