Cornbury Festival, now based at Great Tew Park, has been entertaining music fans for years but was called off in 2020 due to the coronavirus.

In 2018 it was the turn of alt-rock queen Alanis Morissette to be one of the headliners of the revived festival.

She was joined by Mavis Staples, Amy MacDonald, Nina Nesbitt and Pixie Lott also join the line-up for the 15th instalment.

The festival announced the previous year it was making an unexpected return to Great Tew Park near Chipping Norton after organiser Hugh Phillimore said 2017 would be the last.

Announcing the line-up, Mr Phillimore said he was 'still in shock from the massive outpouring of love and support' for the festival, adding: "We're back thanks to the incredible loyalty of our fans."

Last year California came to Oxfordshire as surf-rock legends The Beach Boys brought the festival to a rousing finale.

The band is known for its trademark West Coast sound with hit songs about surfing, cars and young love.

The group was fronted by co-founder Mike Love and featuring long-serving touring member Bruce Johnston.

They delighted a crowd of about 11,000 people with such hits as Good Vibrations, Sloop John B, Wouldn’t It Be Nice, Kokomo and I Get Around.

Beach balls were thrown into the crowd to add to the party atmosphere as the sun went down on Great Tew Park.

The festival is now being planned for July 2021.
