A COMMUNITY run bus service will be back on the road next week having not run at all during lockdown.
The West Oxfordshire Community Transport is set to relaunch its service from Monday.
County councillor Laura Price, chair of the group, said: “During lockdown we had to cease operation and while we’ve not been operating, we’ve kept in touch with members and set up welfare calls.
“More recently we did a passenger survey to see if people were still shielding, whether they felt nervous about using public transport and what they wanted.

“We’ve since kitted the buses out with perspex screens, a dedicated seating plan and hand sanitiser to make people feel reassured.
“Starting from Monday, there’ll be a scaled back timetable initially but keeping that under review with hopefully a return to a normal service when able to.
The service, which was founded in 2017 offers four routes.
