Thames Valley Police have now located a body in search of missing man Ross Shakles.
Ross Shakles, 31, was last seen in the grounds of Blenheim Palace at around 7.30am on Tuesday.
Ross is white, approximately 6ft 4ins tall, of athletic build with short mousey brown hair and stubble.
He also has a tattoo on the bicep of his left arm. When he was last seen, he was carrying a black rucksack.
He is known to frequent Witney.
Investigating officer, PC Steven Morris, based at Witney police station, said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of Ross and are appealing for help in locating him.
“Please get in touch if you believe you may have seen Ross, or have any information regarding where he may be.
“Anyone with information can contact us by calling 101, quoting reference 43200134296.”
