A YOUNG woman from Buckinghamshire has died from Covid-19 despite having no underlying health conditions, her family has said.

Devastated friends and family of Chloe Middleton, 21, have urged members of the public to take the virus seriously after her death.

In a Facebook post that has been shared thousands of times, her mum Diane Middleton said: "To all the people out there that thinks it's just a virus please think again, speaking from a personal experience this so called virus has taken the life of my 21 year old daughter."

In another emotional post, Miss Middleton's aunt said the High Wycombe family are 'shattered beyond belief'.

Emily Mistry said in the post yesterday: "My beautiful, kind hearted 21 year old niece (Chloe) has passed away from COVID-19.

"She had no underlying health issues.

"My loved ones are going through the most unimaginable pain, we are shattered beyond belief...

"The reality of this virus is only just unfolding before our very eyes.

"Please, please adhere to government guidelines. DO YOUR BIT.

"Protect yourselves and protect others!! The virus isn’t spreading, PEOPLE are spreading the virus.

"Life as we know it has changed dramatically but unless we all act now to protect ourselves and others, the longer this turmoil and anguish will go on....

"Rest in peace Chloe. Until we meet again."

Health authorities are yet to comment on the young woman's death.

Current understanding is that elderly people and people with underlying health conditions are most vulnerable to Covid-19.

'RIP Chloe' is now trending on Twitter, with thousands of people sharing tributes and offering condolences to the young woman's loved ones.
