A driver who passed the scene told the Oxford Mail he saw about five police cars heading up the alleyway at around 3.30pm, heading to the car park behind Cash Converters and the old Post Office.

He said there were also police officers on foot patrolling the town.

Thames Valley Police confirmed officers were called to a report of a 'disturbance' at a property in High Street at about 3.10pm.

A police spokesman said no one was injured during the incident.

He added three men, all from Banbury, were arrested on suspicion of a public order offence in connection but all three have been released with no further action.
