A LANE was closed on the M40 this afternoon due to urgent pothole repairs.
Highways England tweeted at 3.45pm advising that the southbound road was partly shut near Bicester, between the exit and entry slip at Junction 9 (Wendlebury).

Traffic was slow on all approaches to the roundabout, particlarly on the A34.
The lane has since reopened and traffic is starting to ease.
