A TEENAGE boy was intimidated by a 'group of youths' who stole his bike and 'verbally abused' him as he left the barber's.

The 15-year-old boy had to seek refuge in a hotel after being followed by the group in Bicester, on Saturday, January 18.

Thames Valley Police said at about 1pm, the victim went into King Turkish Barbers in Crown Walk and left his bike outside.

The force said in a statement today that a 'large group of youths' then congregated outside, 'seemingly waiting for the victim'.

As he left, one of the group members took his bike and sat on it while another confronted him.

The victim then ran off into the King's Arms Hotel, as he was 'fearful that he was going to be assaulted', police said.

The group followed him and shouted abuse at him as he left.

Police are investigating theft and common assault and have appealed for witnesses.

One of the boys, who stole the bike, was described as black, 6ft 5ins tall, aged about 14, with black, short curly hair.

Another boy, who chased the victim, was described as white, about 6ft 2ins, aged about 15, with ginger or blonde long curly hair.

He was wearing a blue coat with fur around the hood, blue jeans and was carrying a Hugo Boss man bag.

Police said the bike had a grey frame with purple decoration with a lower cross bar, but the specific make and model is unknown.
