INDIAN students, professors and alumni in Oxford waved banners and chanted in protest against a law which they say excludes Muslims from citizenship in India.
The Indian community held the demonstration in Broad Street from midday today against the Citizenship Amendment Act passed by the Indian Government last year.

It grants citizenship based on religion which protesters say is a strike against the Indian Constitution.
Dharamveer Tatwavedi, 28, from Oxford, said: "It questions the relationship between the citizen and the state and that's what we're against because that's the first stop of the train that ultimately leads to fascism."
Tejas Harad, journalist fellow at Reuters Institute, who helped organise the demonstration, said: "The Indian Government are not listening to protesters.
"There needs to be pressure on them, that they are doing something wrong."
