A THIEF stole a car, crashed it into a tree and then ran away.
It happened at just after midnight on Friday.
Burglars broke into a home on Kingston Road, North Oxford, through the back door. When they got inside they stole two mobile phones, a laptop, two handbags, and a shopping bag with bank cards, cash and car keys inside.
They then used the keys to drive the car away – before crashing it into a tree at the junction of Kingston Road and Polstead Road.
The criminal then made an escape on foot towards Woodstock Road.
