BUS companies running Oxford SmartZone have announced that fares for its under-18 one-week passes are being frozen for 2020.
The SmartZone bus companies, featuring Oxford Bus Company, Stagecoach and Thames Travel, have also confirmed the fares for one, four, 13 and 52-week tickets will have a small increase with effect from January 26, 2020.
The changes include a 50p increase for a one-week pass, a £2 increase for a four-week pass, a £5 increase for a 13-week pass and a £1 increase for a 12-trip or five-day pass.

An annual season ticket will increase by £20, which continues to represent a significant saving compared to individual tickets.
In a joint statement, the Oxford SmartZone operators, said: “We are committed to delivering our passengers with a great service at an affordable price and it’s great that we’re able to continue to freeze some fares.

“We have maintained significant investment into our fleets and services, including improved technology and timetables for our passengers which combined with the impact of roadworks, has lead to an increase in our operating costs.
"While increasing some fares we have strived to ensure they continue to be very good value for money.”
