A TRUSTEE and champion of the Oxfordshire-based charity My Life My Choice has been recognised for his work.

Paul Scarrott won the 2019 Michael Ludlam Award for advocacy, policy and the media at the Dimensions annual award ceremony.

He was one of 40 winners named as 'leaders' out of 400 applications nationally.

He said: “I’m proud to be elected a leader because I’ve never been nominated for anything like this before and it is nice to be celebrated for the work I do, and have people see that people with learning disabilities can speak up too.”
