Despite only having a provisional licence, the driver was unsupervised.

Learner drivers must be accompanied by someone aged over 21, who has held a full driving licence for at least three years.

They must also display ‘L’ plates.

Police seized the car and reported the driver.

No-one was injured in the collision, according to a tweet issued by police.

On Saturday night, police busted a learner driver on Cowley Road in East Oxford, who was also uninsured.
