ROAD users have been warned of 'freezing fog' expected to affect parts of Oxfordshire overnight.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for fog and freezing fog, which will be in place from 12.15am until 11am tomorrow morning.

London and much of the South East is covered by the warning, with parts of the county included.

Didcot, Wallingford, Watlington, Thame, Benson are among those covered, but Oxford, Abingdon, West Oxfordshire and North Oxfordshire are not.

Oxfordshire County Council is sending its gritters out tonight, and said the forecast predicts freezing conditions.

The Met Office warning states: "Fog or freezing fog is likely to lead to some travel disruption on Monday night and Tuesday morning.

"Slower journey times with delays to bus and train services [are] possible.

"There is a chance of delays or cancellations to flights."
