VIEWS are being sought on potential plans to build hundreds of homes at a site in north Oxford.

It comes as changes have been made to a planning document where the homes were originally proposed to be built in the south east of Woodstock.

Building of the homes is part of the Partial Review of the Local Plan to construct 4,400 homes in the Kidlington, Gosford, Yarnton and Begbroke area.

Public hearings have already been held and a Planning Inspector has provided his preliminary advice, satisfied with the plan’s housing figures, its strategy and most of its housing allocations.

However, he has asked for the council to consider how it could redistribute 410 homes.

Council officers have therefore prepared ‘Main Modifications’ which include the consideration of alternative sites. People can submit their comments from tomorrow online no later than 11.59pm on Friday, December 20 2019.

All consultation documents will be available online at www.cherwell.gov.uk/planningpolicyconsultation

The Inspector’s post-hearing advice note is also available online at www.cherwell.gov.uk/

The consultation goes live this Friday.
