BRIGHTON’S biggest motorcycle event may not be able to continue after being hit by bad weather for the third year in a row.
Founder Abbey Goldin set up Brightona to raise funds for the Sussex Heart Charity.
Riders are asked to make donations to cover costs and raise funds for the Sussex Cardiac Centre, where Abbey was treated after a heart attack.
They were asked to dig extra deep this year to try to make sure the event will be able to continue.
Appealing to bikers ahead of the event organisers said: “Unfortunately 20178 and 2018 we were victims of bad weather so we are asking our supporters to rally together and continue our founder’s legacy.”
Hundreds of riders did turn up including Brighton and Hove Mayor Alex Phillips.
Supporters were urged to help keep the event running next year by donating at Brightona.co.uk.
