VAST plans to change two Oxford sites are set to be decided next week after they were pulled from an agenda earlier this month.
A2Dominion owns both Gibbs Crescent and Simon House.
It wants to knock both down and rebuild them as new developments.
Buildings in Gibbs Crescent, in West Oxford, would be replaced by up to 140 new homes.
Simon House, currently a homeless shelter in Paradise Street, would also go and would be replaced with a new block of 30 flats.
Oxford City Council's West Area planning committee will be asked to decide whether the applications get the go-ahead at a meeting next Tuesday.

Amendments – like changes to an access road – have been proposed from the previous project for Gibbs Crescent.
The original plans were meant to be discussed at a meeting on September 10 but were withdrawn following advice from the city council.
Next Tuesday's meeting will be open to the public and will be held at Oxford Town Hall’s Old Library from 6pm.
On September 10, the Saïd Business School was given planning permission for its plan for an executive education centre at the Old Power Station in Russell Street.
That £60m project was allowed after being deferred in July.
