OXFORD's city centre library will be closed for ten days next month to fix problems.
It will be closed from 5.30pm on October 4 until October 14.
The county council said all loans will be extended to include the closure time.
Nearest libraries are in Summertown, Headington and Botley. The online library remains open throughout the day.
Work to replace the library's lifts will start on November 11 and will be completed on May 11, 2020.
The library's goods lift at the back of the library will be replaced from next month.
