THERE were more burglaries in Field Street than any other road in Bicester over the last year.

We've used police stats from July 2018 to June 2019 (the most recent available) to show every location of burglaries in the town.

There were 101 break-ins in 12 months in Bicester - but the good news it's far lower than the year before when there were 192.

The most common location were 'parking areas' across town, with four of them taking place in the area around Sainsbury's.

But the biggest single count for residential areas was Field Street, with four burglaries.

The area covered is the Bicester Town policing area, which covers the whole town centre.

In terms of raids on supermarkets, the Co-op in Buckingham Road was targeted once, as was the Co-op in Barberry Place.

And the stats also show a burglary at Wilko.

Of 101 burglaries, police closed the investigation and did not find a suspect in 63 of the crimes.

Only one conviction can be confirmed out of 101 burgaries.

A burglar was given a community sentence after being convicted of targetting the area around Victoria Road car park.

Two other suspects were charged in other burglaries, including a crime in Coker Close, but the outcomes of these investigations are not given.
