WORK could start on a new multi-million pound water park resort being built near Bicester within two years.
Initial plans have been submitted by American company Great Wolf Resorts to build the new indoor water park on land near Bicester Hotel Golf and Spa, in Chesterton.

Early designs include plans for a family entertainment centre, ropes course, climbing wall, miniature golf, family bowling, arcade games, and interactive 'mystical quest' game.
Plans also include a 500-room hotel, 900-space car park, and new public nature trail.
The US company has submitted this month a detailed preliminary 'scoping opinion' plan ready for a full application to go to Cherwell District Council this autumn.
Plans describe the resort being built on land at the golf club, where nine of the current 18 holes will remain operational.
It has been reported that, economically, the resort will provide a £200 million investment into the area and create 1,000 jobs during construction and around 600 jobs after construction to operate the resort.
The latest plans to be submitted, on July 7, are part of the preliminary requirements to establish if an environmental report is needed, before seeking full planning permission.

A full planning application is expected to be submitted this autumn.
The anticipated start for the build, subject to approval, is 2021 and is expected to take roughly two years to complete.
