AN EMPTY former clothes shop is set to become a venue for street food stalls and 'secret cinema' screenings.

The BHS unit in Castle Quay shopping centre in Banbury will become 'Lock29' under plans unveiled by Cherwell District Council.

Named after the Banbury Lock, it could also host florists, barbers and a variety of other products and services.

A screening room showing films and educational programmes for children is due to open later this year.

The rest of the new venture should be launched by March 2020.
