Local musicians and great tribute acts will perform at Witney Music Festival. The free event takes place all day at The Leys, with the first act due to go on stage at 11.30am.

Wantage and Grove Extravaganza will bring entertainment and activities to Grove Rugby Club, while morris dancers will be out in full force in Abingdon for the town's annual mock mayor ceremony.

Joggers will tackle the 10km Run Jericho race in Oxford, following a route passing Worcester College, Port Meadow and the Oxford Canal, to raise money for St Barnabas' CE Primary School.

MONDAY

In a debate to mark the 50th anniversary of Oxford Civic Society, Ian Hudspeth, leader of Oxfordshire County Council, and Danny Dorling, an Oxford University geography professor, will contest plans for Oxfordshire's growth. The ticketed talk takes place at the Town Hall.

TUESDAY

Residents will get to see how their views are helping to shape the future of Blackbird Leys.

Oxford City Council and Catalyst Housing wants to deliver at least 250 new homes, improved shops and community spaces in the estate.

Plans will be displayed at Blackbird Leys Community Centre from 5-8pm.

WEDNESDAY

A collection of short films about Syrian refugees will screen at Makespace Oxford in Jericho, from 6.15pm. The event is hosted by Refugee Support Network and KAMA Oxford, and £5 entry includes Syrian food snacks.

THURSDAY

Councillors will hear updates about the county's health services at a Oxfordshire Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee meeting. It takes place at County Hall at 10am.

FRIDAY

Rugfest will start day one of its weekend music line-up at Wallingford Sports Park, featuring Wallingford Blues and Beer Festival.
