OXFORD'S Civil War history will be explored in an hour-long programme on Channel 4 tonight.
Professor Alice Roberts will see how the English Civil War played out in the city in the programme 'Britain's Most Historic Towns' at 8pm.

The series sees the academic look back at British history through the stories of individual locations.
The conflict ran from 1642 to 1651, with the programme describing how Oxford was 'at the heart' of the battle between the King and Parliament.
