WALKERS can now sign up to help raise funds for a cancer charity based in Abingdon.

The Breast Walk Ever Oxfordshire will return for a sixth year on September 8.

Organised by charity Against Breast Cancer, the route takes walkers south east from three scenic starting points in Abingdon, Wallingford and Goring-on-Thames to the finishing point in Beale Park near Pangbourne.

Walkers can choose from a full marathon, a half marathon or 10km route.

Event organiser Richard Martin said: “We are delighted to announce that Breast Walk Ever Oxfordshire is returning for its 6th year.

"We had a brilliant turnout at the start of May for the inaugural Breast Walk Ever Berkshire and are looking forward to welcoming lots more walkers to our flagship event in Oxfordshire this September.”

Entry fees range from £11 to £26, depending on distance, and each walker gets free entry to Beale Park after the walk as well as a finishers medal.

A complimentary massage is available to all finishers as well as official event photographs. Walkers will also enjoy well stocked feed-stations and a choice of refreshments at the finish.

As a sponsored event, all walkers are asked to raise funds with an initial target of just £50.
