A MAN has been charged in connection with an armed robbery at an Oxford store.

Gerald Gribban, 46, of Studfall Avenue, Corby, Northamptonshire, was charged on one count of possession of a bladed article and one count of robbery.

The charges relate to an incident on Sunday, May 5, when a knife was produced in front of staff in a Co-op store on Iffley Road in Oxford.

Police say 'a quantity of cash' was stolen and that the offender fled on foot.

Gribban is due to appear at Oxford Crown Court on Friday, May 31.
