A LOCAL mental health charity has announced a host of summer events.

Amid Mental Health Awareness Week, Oxford organisation Restore has said its three events – which all coincide with city occasions – 'will raise awareness of mental health, the services available in the county, and the importance of ending stigma linked to talking openly about mental health.'

The first will take place at the Eid Street Party, with the charity's office on Manzil Way playing a key role in a free family fun-day packed with stalls, live music, and a food court with a fresh BBQ and halal food (11am-5pm on Saturday, June 8).

The fundraising event will include face painting, Henna, and a relaxation space in Restore’s gardens.

Then, at the Cowley Road Carnival, the headquarters will again open up (midday-5pm, Sunday, July 7) to 'provide a tranquil, family-friendly space away from the bustle', with live music, drinks, ice creams and a selection of hand-made goods on sale.
