A 'PRESTIGIOUS' international exhibition will showcase a painting by an Oxford artist later this year.
Phil Whiting’s painting has been accepted into the Florence Biennale, an art exhibition which is held every two years in Florence, Italy.
ALSO READ: Artweeks brings the world to OxfordThe 70-year-old’s painting is called ‘The Politics of Eternity" and was sketched while he visited the Auschwitz Birkenau concentration camp.
He particularly likes to paint landscapes. He said: “I can’t think of anything better to do with my time. I love history and the memories that come with landscapes that I paint.”
