A CORNER shop owner is making a third attempt to expand his store and put new flats above it.
Mahinda Sasanapala, who runs the convenience store at 40 Abingdon Road, Drayton, has submitted his latest set of plans to Vale of White Horse District Council this month.
The businessman was told his previous proposals were too bulky for the site and so has reduced the scale in his latest scheme in the hopes of winning permission.

He was also asked by planning officers to ensure that drivers using the four parking spaces onsite would be able to enter and leave in a forward gear rather than having to reverse in and out.
Members of public can see his full plans online at whitehorsedc.gov.uk using reference number P19/V0639/FUL and comments are possible until April 12.
The council is aiming to give Mr Sasanapala a decision by the middle of May.
