A NEW fishmonger's will open in the Covered Market this month, Oxford City Council has confirmed.
The market has been without a fishmonger shop since Haymans, which had been based there for 225 years, shut up shop in November 2017.

The former shop has been split into three units, with the new business occupying one.
Blue Blood Sports, a sportswear and sports equipment store founded by three former employees of Elmer Cotton, opened in another of the units on January 26.

Teardrop, a micropub from West Oxfordshire-based and family-run Church Hanbrewery, meanwhile, opened in the other before Christmas.
The city council did not reveal who will be running the new business, but said it expected the shop to open by the end of next week.
