A MAN has been killed in a crash with a petrol tanker in Faringdon, police have confirmed.
The 53-year-old died at the scene after his Ford Mondeo crashed into an articulated petrol tanker on the A417 at around 3.45pm on Tuesday, January 22.
The driver of the petrol tanker, a 41-year-old man, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with serious injuries, but has since been discharged.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
Investigating officer PC Sandra Terry, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Bicester, said: “We are appealing for witnesses to this road traffic collision following which a man tragically died.
“We are hoping to speak to anyone who saw either vehicle before the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage of the incident.”
