HOUSEHOLDERS can now recycle their natural Christmas trees in an environmentally-friendly fashion.
Those who have a subscription to Oxford City Council’s kerbside collection service can have their tree collected on their blue/brown bin collection day from now until February 1.
You can also drop trees off at one of the 12 collection points across the city until February 4.

- Sunnymead Recreation Ground, by play area
From tomorrow, residents who are signed up to West Oxfordshire Council’s garden waste service can cut up their trees and place them in their garden bins.
Holly, ivy and mistletoe can also be recycled but decorations must be removed.
People living in the Cherwell district can get their natural Christmas tree taken away in January along with waste from their brown bin. Householders are asked to make their trees available to be collected.

South Oxfordshire District Council will collect trees from January 14 and Vale of White Horse District Council will do the same from tomorrow. Again, people are asked to put their trees next to their brown bins.
Householders can also dispose of Christmas trees at the seven waste recycling centres around the county.
Christmas trees should be put into the green waste containers, they will be turned into a high quality compost at sites in Oxfordshire.
