THE DATE has been announced for when fast-food fans will finally be able to get their Big Mac or McNuggets in Bicester.

Residents have long called for a McDonald's to be built in the growing town over grievances that people had to travel miles for the taste.

But as building at the new site off the A41 in Bicester ploughs on, McDonald's has announced it will finally open its doors on Tuesday, November 13.

Bicester Advertiser:

It is being opened by franchisee Joanne Jones and is expected to create 200 local jobs.

The fast-food restaurant will boast all of McDonald’s latest innovations including self-order kiosks, table service, and the ‘click and collect’ service via the app.

Ms Jones, who owns and operates four restaurants in the local area, said: "We’re thrilled to be bringing a brand-new restaurant to Bicester.

"It’s fantastic to be able to offer more jobs within the local area with great training opportunities for everyone.

"What’s more, the new digital kiosks and table service have been designed to make our customers’ experience as positive as possible and we hope to see a fantastic response to these features.

"We are very excited to open our doors to customers and we look forward to seeing customers and staff embracing the new features in this busy part of the county."

The McDonald's will open off Lakeview Drive next to Tesco superstore.
