County council leader Ian Hudspeth was taken to hospital after being bitten by a dog while out campaigning this morning.
The Conservative councillor was helping fellow party members hand out leaflets around Bicester and the north of the county.
Several hours later Mr Hudspeth tweeted a picture with his arm in a sling and another of his gored finger.
He praised NHS staff for treating him.
I guess the dog wasn’t one of us. The staff @OUHospitals are simply brilliant #VoteConservative #nhs pic.twitter.com/NRwEA6E4eO
