ATHLETICS: Alchester triumphed in the ladies vets race at the Oxfordshire Club Road Relays in Abingdon.

Sarah Rendell, Jenny McBain and Samantha Usher led the team to victory by more than a minute.

Alchester's Jamie Bagnall finished 16th in the first round of the Mota-vation Series at Charlton-on-Otmoor.

Clubmate Rendell was the first ladies vet 35 in 87th.

Three Bicester athletes competed in the first round of the UK Development League Midland North/East Division 1 A Upper Age Group match.

Competing with Witney, they finished sixth.

Tia Brown won the under 17 girls 100m, while Charlotte Hewett was second in the triple jump.

Kieran Finch won the under 20 men’s high jump with a leap of 1.60m.

Abigail Jones was the fourth female in TriStar1.
