SLATTER Jean Mary (Nee Gandley) Jean Mary Slatter passed away suddenly on Tuesday 7th March, aged 89 years. Re-united with her late Husband Archie. Much loved mother to John and Hannah, Granster to Alexandria and Kristian (Grandmother) also Darcie and Madison (Great Grandmother). The funeral service will take place on Wednesday 29 March in St Mary's Church Upper Heyford at noon. Flowers welcome or if desired donations collected in aid of Sobell House Hospice, Oxford.Tributes

Dear John and Hannah,
I am so sorry that this message is so late, but I was unaware that Jean had died until ten minutes ago.
I know one of you, Hannah I suspect, spoke to Featherton House, but sadly they lost the message and could only tell me that someone mum knew had died. They thought it might have been cousin, but I asked my various family members and nobody knew anything.
Mum and I tried your mum's phone number on Wednesday, but it was cut off, which made me think the lost message must relate to Jean. I asked mum's brother, Stuart if he knew how to reach either of you, but he didn't.
I am so sad not to have been at the funeral, I would certainly have been there. I was away working when the message was taken (and lost) but had returned by late March.
I hope she passed peacefully, and that all the family are coming to terms with your loss, the next year will be difficult as various anniversaries come round.
It's embarrassing that I don't know how to contact you, except through here (I only a moment ago thought to search the internet).
