A LEISURE centre has closed temporarily after a mains water pipe burst overnight.

Bicester Leisure Centre, in Queen’s Avenue, announced this morning (Thursday, September 1) that a mains pipe in the plant room burst.

In a customer notice, the centre said: “Regrettably the centre has experienced a burst mains water pipe in the plant room overnight.

“The centre is currently closed and will remain closed until site is attended by an engineer. We will keep you up to date with progress and when we will be back open as soon as possible.

“Thankfully the burst pipe has caused no damage to the internal of the centre, but it does leave us without any running water for the time being.

“We appreciate your understanding and support.”
