PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A CONSULTATION
Cherwell District Council has prepared a Partial Review of the Cherwell Local Plan 2011-2031
(Part 1) to help address Oxford’s Unmet Housing Need.The Plan provides 4,400 new homes across
seven strategic sites.
Notice is hereby given in accordance with the above Regulations that Cherwell District Council
has submitted the Partial Review of the Cherwell Local Plan 2011-2031 (Part 1): Oxford’s Unmet
Housing Need) to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government on
5 March 2018 for examination.
The submission documentation includes:
1. Proposed Submission Local Plan (July 2017) incorporating the Schedule of Focused Changes
and Minor Modifications (February 2018)
2. Submission policies map (included within the Submission Plan incorporating changes)
3. Sustainability Appraisal Report (June 2017) and Addendum (February 2018)
4. Statement of Consultation (February 2018)
5. Habitats Regulations Assessment – Screening Report (June 2017) and Addendum
(February 2018)
6. Copies of representations made in accordance with Regulation 20
7. Other supporting documents
The Partial Review of the Cherwell Local Plan 2011-2031 (Part 1): Oxford’s Unmet Housing
Need) will now be subject to an independent Examination which will be conducted by the Planning
Inspectorate on behalf of the Secretary of State.The Examination is a continuous process running
from the submission through to receipt of the Inspector’s Report.
Dates for the Examination hearings and associated arrangements will be publicised on-line at
www.cherwell.gov.uk/partial-review-examination once the Council has been advised by The
Planning Inspectorate on behalf of the Secretary of State.

Submission Local Plan – Availability
Hard copies of the Proposed Submission Local Plan incorporating the Schedule of Focused
Changes and Minor Modifications, policies maps, Statement of Consultation, Sustainability
Appraisal (and Addendum) and Habitats Regulations Assessment (and Addendum) will be made
