NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT
MODIFICATION ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT I980,WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 The Oxfordshire County Council Launton Footpath No. 4 (part) Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2016
On 10th July 2017, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order, made on 22nd March 2016, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting 354m of Launton Fp 4 that runs from OS Grid Reference SP 6053 2212 (where it joins with Launton Fp 3) at West End, Launton westwards to SP 6042 2211 then south-westwards across the London to Bicester North railway to SP 6025 2194 to a line running from Launton Fp 3 on the south-western side of the railway at OS Grid Ref SP 6056 2196 westwards to SP 6025 2194 as shown on the Order map.

Alternatively a copy has been placed and may be seen free of charge during opening hours at: Bicester Library; Franklins House, Wesley Lane, Bicester OX26 6JU;telephone 01869 252181. Copies of the Order and Order map may be purchased from Oxfordshire County Council, Definitive Map and Commons, Speedwell House, Speedwell Street, Oxford OX1 1NE at the price of £3:50 per copy The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 3rd August 2017 make an application to the High Court.
